AT BAK COMMUNITY PARTNERS…

our firm’s mission is simple: to build durable political power by blending serious research, multi-modal strategies, and proactive organizing.

We’re not just here to manage campaigns—we’re here to address the root causes of political stagnation and grow long-term infrastructure, transforming reactionary political landscapes from the ground up.

In states like Tennessee, political backsliding is driven by chronic underinvestment and a persistent loss of local talent, forcing skilled organizers and strategists to leave the state—or the work entirely—due to limited pathways for growth, innovation, and stability.

The result is a thinning bench and an overreliance on familiar, risk-averse structures that are often stretched thin, prioritizing maintenance over development. Instead of cultivating new leaders, testing bold ideas, and building durable infrastructure to compete and win, promising talent is overlooked, innovation is deferred, and hard-earned institutional knowledge walks out the door.

Rooted in community and care, not consultant-culture, BAK Community Partners believes in transformative, generational work that will shift the power of states like Tennessee and beyond.

BAK exists to reverse the trend of political backsliding. We partner with community organizations to invest in local talent, create opportunities for leadership development, and build strategies that keep organizers, campaign staff, and movement leaders rooted in Tennessee.

By strengthening in-state capacity through investment in up-and-coming organizers and valuing lived experience alongside technical expertise, we help ensure that power, knowledge, and momentum stay with the communities doing the work.

CAMPAIGNS

BAK supports campaigns that are grounded in community and built to last. We partner with candidates and organizations to run disciplined, people-powered campaigns that reflect local values, invest in in-state talent, and strengthen the broader ecosystem along the way. Our approach prioritizes scalable systems including administration and compliance, strong field operations, and clear messaging—so every campaign leaves behind more capacity and lasting infastructure.

STRATEGY

Strategy at BAK starts with listening. We work with partners to assess political terrain, identify opportunities for growth, and design plans that align ambition with reality. Our strategies are tailored, data-informed, and rooted in place—helping organizations move from short-term wins to long-term power by retaining institutional knowledge, developing leadership, and building infrastructure that endures.

TRAINING

BAK’s training programs are designed to grow and keep talent in Tennessee. We provide hands-on, practical training for organizers, campaign staff, and emerging leaders—focused on real-world skills, political confidence, and career sustainability. By investing in people, not just cycles, we help build a deep bench of capable leaders who can stay, grow, and lead where they live.
